About Boulder

Thanks to Diana Shaffner of Good Acres Sanctuaries, we were put in touch with Boulder's original human. Boulder came to us with one eye after surviving pink eye. His original human made sure he had surgery, vaccinations, medication, and plenty of food!

Boulder loves to be loved on. Even now, he enjoys being scratched under his chin and around his ears and being brushed with the curry comb. He also likes snuggling.

We were uncertain whether Boulder would have a hard time using the mirafount, but he actually began using it before Beauty!

Even though Beauty has obtained a healthy weight, Boulder is still nearly twice her size!

Sleek & Shiney

Sweet Boulder developed an infection he just couldn't fight off and went to paradise August 19, 2025. He was nearly 3,000 lbs., yet he was probably the most gentle animal I have ever been around. Some things I'm reminded of:

Cattle were created on the same day as mankind. Genesis 1:25-27

God's covenant not to destroy the earth again by flood was made with all creation, man and animals. Genesis 9:9-17

God's mercy is over all He has made. Psalm 145:9

Every animal belongs to him. Psalm 50:10

His creation will be set free from the corruption of this life. Romans 8:18-25
